What we ask of you, and what you can expect of us, for every child attending the Home Education Centre. You sign this when your child joins.
To get the most out of your time with us, it is important that you demonstrate a commitment to the vision, mission and ethos of Alamiyah Montessori. It is also important to build a partnership to ensure the health, welfare and safety of your child while they are with us. In order for Alamiyah to provide quality childcare and educational support, the terms below must be adhered to:
To demonstrate a commitment to the vision, mission and ethos of Alamiyah
To maintain communication about your child's health, development and learning including, any professionals working alongside your family and any assessments
To inform the setting about any changes to information held by Alamiyah including, personal or emergency contact details, authorised collectors, your child's home address or living arrangements. All notifications must be made in advance of any change taking effect
To ensure that all absences are communicated in advance in writing (via email or letter) prior to the start of the session for each instance of absence so that we are aware of who will be attending daily
To ensure that your child comes in clean and tidy according to the dress code see Alamiyah Montessori Dress Code
To commit to the prompt payment of fees, in accordance with our fee payment policy
To attend meetings regarding pupil behaviour or any meetings regarding your child
To strongly encourage constructive hand's on activities and avoid or minimise screen time
To adhere to healthy eating guidelines when providing snack to help your child to have the best health, wellbeing and educational outcomes
To ensure that your child is polite, courteous and respectful to all staff and pupils
To ensure that your child maintains the rights and boundaries of others without harm or force
To ensure that your child only uses acceptable and appropriate language at the setting, the use of racist, derogatory or obscene language is unacceptable and prohibited
To ensure that your child handles Alamiyah property and the property of others with care and respect
To adhere to the setting's policies and procedures, correspondence and guidelines as outlined on the website and parent handbook, paying particular attention to policies on attendance, punctuality, dress code and fees.
According to the centre's Montessori ethos, it is important for children to receive a balanced and holistic education. A full range of learning which is balanced should include: physical, emotional, social, mental intellectual aesthetic and spiritual education.
According to the Education Act: it is your responsibility as a parent to ensure that your child receives a full and balanced education, it is your choice how you wish to deliver this.
