Alamiyah Montessori is a preschool for children aged 3 to 6. Children enjoy uninterrupted work, prayer, play and life together.
Alamiyah Montessori welcomes children aged 3 to 6 years in Dagenham. The calm, mixed-age prepared environment gives each child time to choose purposeful work, repeat it and grow in independence.
Prayer, play and daily care sit alongside sustained concentration. Adults observe closely, offer concise presentations and make room for each child to act with purpose.
The protected work cycle runs from 09:00 to 11:30 between a calm arrival and time outdoors, lunch or home.
Children are welcomed at the door, exchange salaam and settle into the room.
Children choose purposeful activity, repeat it and follow concise presentations when they are ready.
Children move outdoors before morning collection at 13:00. Full-day children continue to lunch and leave at 15:30.
The room is calm, ordered and made for children's hands. Real glass, water and practical tools help children develop control and care. Each material focuses attention on one idea and often allows a child to spot and correct their own mistake.
Nadia Begum leads the room and holds an AMI Montessori diploma for this age range. She observes closely, offers short, precise presentations when a child is ready and gives them space to practise independently.
Children choose purposeful work, repeat it and experience the satisfaction of mastery. Arabic is spoken throughout the work cycle by a fluent guide. Wudu, prayer and adab are part of daily life in the prepared environment.

“We are appreciative to be able to see a Montessori education combined with Prophetic Islam. Each and every part of the setting has an intention and purpose in order for our son to learn, this is truly amazing.”
Settling is gradual. Children begin with shorter sessions, an unhurried handover and a predictable routine. The same calm environment and familiar guides greet them each morning, and we adjust the pace with you.
Children hear spoken classical Arabic from a fluent guide every morning. Sound games lead into letters and the moveable Arabic alphabet. Qur'an begins through listening, recitation and oral practice, with memorisation growing from readiness. Read more in why later is the better time.
Families may move to a Reception place or continue home education. A complete three to six Montessori cycle builds concentration, independence, early literacy and confidence with adults. Read an essay on Reception and Alamiyah Montessori.
Apply when you are ready, or ask us about your child first.
