Children arrive at 09:00 and are collected at 13:00. Between those times, they choose and develop work in one uninterrupted, mixed-age period across the 7 to 11 years range.
Children work with members across a four-year age span, and siblings often attend on the same mornings. Families come from Dagenham, Barking and the Essex borders, creating a broad home-education community.
Most children settle gradually over their first few weeks. A calm routine, meaningful work and consistent adults help them find focus and confidence at their own pace.
Mornings support Mathematics, English, Science in a mixed-age, Montessori-informed environment. Families shape the rest of the week around their child's interests, including Arabic, Qur'an, physical activity, arts, humanities and community life.
The centre is Montessori-informed. Children work in a mixed-age prepared environment, choose purposeful activity and have a long uninterrupted period to concentrate. Adults observe closely and offer concise presentations that help children continue independently.
We observe each child's work, share what we notice and discuss next steps with you. Your wider home-education plan remains the foundation, and we will be honest if the centre is not the right fit.
See the full published schedule for what two mornings cost, what four cost, one-off joining costs and the notice required.
Tell us about your child, visit a session morning and join the waiting list. When a place opens, we send the start date, session days and time available to accept. The membership page sets out all five steps and costs.

Alamiyah Home Education Centre does not provide placements for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan. A family holding an EHCP needs a registered setting that can be named on the plan, and we are not one. Contact us and we can talk through other settings that may suit your child.
No. Ofsted inspects registered Early Years providers and independent educational institutions. Its inspection framework does not apply to Alamiyah Home Education Centre.
