Yes. Alamiyah Montessori is an Early Years setting, URN 2868859, registered November 2025, and awaiting its first inspection. Earlier provision at this address closed on 23 July 2025.
The ratio is 1 to 5, within the statutory Early Years requirement for this age range. This allows guides to know each child and follow their work closely.
Islamic faith is woven through a Montessori prepared environment. Children hear Arabic and Qur'an, practise adab and pray together. Nadia Begum holds the AMI Montessori diploma 3-6. Iman, Ihsan and Islam give the day its spiritual shape, while respect for each child's fitrah guides how adults observe and support them.
Children of different ages and genders share the prepared environment. Younger children learn by watching older ones, while older children deepen patience and understanding by helping younger peers.
Children hear spoken classical Arabic from a fluent guide every morning. Sound games lead into letters and the moveable Arabic alphabet. Qur'an begins through listening, recitation and oral practice, with memorisation growing from readiness. Read more in why later is the better time.
Pack a named bag with indoor shoes, spare clothes, a seasonal hat and a refillable water bottle. Full-day children also need a packed lunch in a named container. The setting is nut free. Aprons, art materials and crockery are provided, while toys stay at home.
The nursery is nut free, and children bring packed lunches from home. They eat together, help lay the table and clear their own places.
Children sing anasheed in Arabic and English, recite, clap rhythms and learn to drum. Read the full approach on our music page.
We only photograph identifiable children with explicit written parental consent. You choose separately whether images may be used for room records, the website or social media. Read the full policies.
Morning children are collected at 13:00, after the outdoor stretch. Full-day children stay for lunch and the afternoon activity, then are collected at 15:30.
Eligible children receive 15 funded hours, paid to Alamiyah Montessori by the Local Authority. The working-parent entitlement is not available here. Apply through a gov.uk childcare account and send us the eligibility code.
Funded families pay the additional morning charge, the Arabic and Islamic Education Service charge, and any afternoon slots they choose. All three appear in the published schedule.
Apply for funded entitlements and Tax-Free Childcare through a gov.uk childcare account. Send the eligibility code and your child's date of birth to admissions, and we will confirm the start date for funded hours.
See every funded and unfunded fee, one-off charge and notice period on fees and funded hours.
The full fee schedule is on the fees and funded hours page.
Alamiyah Montessori welcomes children aged 3 to 6 years and does not have a baby room. Home-educating families with children aged 7 to 11 years can explore Alamiyah Home Education Centre.
The nursery opens Monday to Thursday and closes on Fridays for staff planning and preparation. Holiday closures and planning days are listed on the dates page.
Settling is gradual. Children begin with shorter sessions, an unhurried handover and a predictable routine. The same calm environment and familiar guides greet them each morning, and we adjust the pace with you.
Keep your child at home if they have a fever, sickness or diarrhoea within the last forty eight hours, or an undiagnosed rash. We follow UK Health Security Agency guidance. See the full exclusion periods in our policies.
Please contact us before applying so we can understand your child's needs. Our small, calm environment and 1 to 5 ratio support many children, but we do not provide specialist support. We will discuss openly whether Alamiyah Montessori can meet your child's needs.
Families may move to a Reception place or continue home education. A complete three to six Montessori cycle builds concentration, independence, early literacy and confidence with adults. Read an essay on Reception and Alamiyah Montessori.
